The Delhi girl’s car accident
In a shocking incident, a 20-year-old woman’s body was dragged by a car for four kilometres in outer Delhi’s Sultanpuri on January 1. The woman died after her scooter was hit by a Maruti Baleno car. Five men travelling in the car have been arrested. According to the police, information was received at 3:24 a.m. that a body was tied to a car and going in the direction of the Kutuga area. The body was then sent to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital for a postmortem. The deputy commissioner of police said the victim’s leg got entangled in one of the wheels of the car. and she was trapped. Sources said the accused were not aware that the victim was being dragged by their car; when they got to know, they removed the body from the vehicles and fled away in panic. Delhi lieutenant governor BK Saxena has condemned the incident, saying his head hangs in shame over the inner woman’s crime, while Delhi commission for women chief Swati Maliwal asked police to clarify if the woman was sexually harassed.
